Christmastime

As soon as we got home from our trip, the girls were ready for Christmas action to start. Well, we did get lucky with some cooler weather.

Grandma set the girls up with their very own nativity.

The girls decorated the tree all by themselves...so pretty.

They really wanted to show it off.

Great Trip

Our visit to Louisiana was long and full of great fun.  We were all sad to leave, but no trip to CiCi's would be complete without a visit to the Frozen Frog.

They even caught The Wizard of Oz at the beginning (see Dorothy's flying house?)  Bix was hooked and we stayed in Shreveport until Dorothy made it back to Kansas. Then it was our turn to say "there's no place like home."

Thanks for a great trip everyone.  We love you, and we are so blessed by each of you.

More Thanksgiving

We get to be double-grateful.  After a great day with family, we got to have another family-filled lovefest.

Thanksgiving

I know...we are a little bit behind, but doing our best to catch up.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving day in Homer.  The girls learned to play pool.

There was lots of delicious food to eat!

Shreveport (the tour of LA continues)

We spent the next few days (before Thanksgiving) with CiCi.  The girls were very helpful at the grocery store.

Couldn't visit Shreve without a trip to Strawn's for some strawberry pie!

We had a super-fun evening with the Meiers and the Whites.  The girls even got this great ladybug tent.  Thanks Janet:)

We spent a bit of time playing beauty parlor.

JB really loves these girls.

Bix was so proud to read an entire Star Wars book to him.

Next...on to Homer for Turkey Day!

Hello

Yes, I know it has been awhile since there have been any posts.  We have been pretty busy with school, church, and an 11 day trip to Louisiana.  Plus, I have been attempting to get the house cleaned up and decorated for Christmas.
So...here is some of what has been going on...

First up...our trip to Baton Rouge.  We arrived at KK's and JB's house just in time for the girls to get a little poker in.

Then it was on to the Chimes, where Bix finally tried alligator (and loved it!)

Hush puppies were also a hit with both girls.

Saturday was Game Day!  The girls couldn't be happier tailgating with JB.

...and everyone else.

Geaux Tigers!

We were able to score some tickets for the girls, and they got their first inside glimpse of Tiger Stadium.

Popcorn AND Tiger football?!  Doesn't get much better.

Oh wait, CiCi bought cotton candy...it just did.

It was close at the end, but TIGERS WIN!!!

 

I hope they had enough bubbles.

Next day was a visit to see Mike.  The real tiger moved about as much as this statue.

So much fun.

A trip to KK's new office and lunch before we headed back to Shreveport.

Lousiana Trip

Mom and Dad went to New Orleans and all the girls got were these lousy, no awesome, banners.  Go Saints!!!
