Time Flies

Everything is still a blur here.  How was your Christmas?

25 December 2010

Merry Christmas

Wishing you all the joy and many blessings that ours was filled with.

Away in a Manger

Bix and Trinity posing with baby Jesus.

Fi thought they looked fantastic.

Christmas Party

Matt and Amy had another great one.  There was delicious food (these mint-oreo cake balls were amazing).

Craft table for the kids.  (Who is really enjoying this the most?)

Tasty beverages for children and adults. (No, Bix didn't get into the wine this year...but she does love to "cheers").

We all had our fill of everything. (and we all slept really well that night)

A Trip to See Santa

This pretty much says it all...

Holiday Spirit

Bix and Finley are beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Fi is still planning her holiday ensembles.

13 December 2010

Santa's Village

Totally the best activity in town.  Last year and the year before?  First off this year, the girls hit up Mrs. Claus for a cookie.

Bix met McGruff, and reviewed how to dial 911 in case of emergency.

Fi meanwhile, visited with the polar bears.

Bix was ready to learn all there is to know about fire fighting.

The "Symphony Hall" invited both girls to perform encores.

Frosty made some new friends too.

Santa's library featured The Grinch and The Cat in the Hat.

Fi could have stayed at the North Pole all night.

For those of you paying attention...yes, it was about 40 degrees last night, and yes, Bix is wearing two layers of shirt and a pair of sweatpants.  The only time the girl will wear a coat is as part of a costume in the middle of summer!

Grandma and Poppo

Have the best driveway for playing.  It is totally flat, huge and in the back of the house with no worry of cars.  OK, so maybe the occasional hook from the 15th fairway is a concern, but not really for our girls.  Bix is getting better at her scooter, and Fi is always on the lookout for airplanes.

Busy Day

Well, they all are...aren't they?

06 December 2010

Christmas Parade

The Richardson Christmas Parade marks the opening of Santa's Village.  It was beautiful weather...perfect for a parade.  Bix patiently waited for the whole thing to begin.

Fi was busy making new friends.

So exciting!

Bix' favorite part may have been the various candies she received from many, many floats, but she really enjoyed the marching bands too.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Concert

We started the holiday season with some wonderful singing.

 The whole class was there.

Fi tried to get in on the act by conducting the choir.

And of course there was dancing.

The highlight for Bix was getting to meet Miss PattyCake.  Which one of these gals was the star of the show?!

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a fantastic one in Louisiana!!!  The trip started down in Baton Rouge.  The girls really got into the tailgating experience.

The Petersons and Browns had a great time!

Bix got to hang out with her Daddy and JB.

Fi thought she was too cool, hanging out with all the big kids.

Bix too.

SO MUCH FUN!

By the end of the day Fi was even getting cosy with Kosmo.

Bix, on the other hand, was all about seeing Mike the Tiger.  The real one was asleep (of course), but the statue provided lots of fun.

Fi was not quite as enthused as her sister.

We did finally get a chance to eat the beautiful birthday cake CiCi made for Fi's birthday.

It was YUM!!!

We had all kinds of good food on our trip.

After stuffing ourselves on Thanksgiving day at Grandmommy's, Bix took a break to do some 4-wheeling.

Fi was a little more traditional in her post-turkey activities.

The shower made for a great place for the girls to play for quite a while...

Then Alyssa and Brianna came over to play and Bix was very thankful!

We had such a wonderful visit with all the family in Louisiana.  What a blessing.

Thanksgiving Feast

It was a fun-filled day at school.  The parade had Pilgrims.

Indians...

Don't forget the turkeys!

Then it was time for the "feast".

Fi was thankful she was along for the ride (there were extra cookies for her).
